Traffic Engineering Graduates (X2) (Date posted: 06.11.2008)
Traffic Engineering Graduates (x2) are required to work from the Brisbane (Toowong) office of TTM on projects including development design and approvals, event traffic management planning and designs and the application of simulation and similar software packages.
The successful applicant/s should be prepared to commence immediately upon completion of the current academic year. Applicants should be interested in pursuing a career in traffic engineering and can expect that the position/s will provide an accelerated professional development. One successful applicant will work directly with the Managing Director in projects across New South Wales and southern and northern Queensland. Applicants will be expected to communicate directly with clients.
This is a unique opportunity to work within Australia's most comprehensive traffic engineering group. You will be able to become familiar with traffic engineering technologies employed in the industry as well as gain an accelerated professional experience in the traffic engineering profession across a wide range of projects in the private and public sectors.
Salary - $46,000 (inc. Super) or otherwise to be negotiated.

Senior Traffic Engineer/Manager (Date posted: 03.04.2007)
The Position:
Senior Traffic Engineer/Manager (2 x Positions available).
The Location:
Sydney and Sunshine Coast.
The Role:
Senior Traffic Engineer required to manage the Traffic Consulting Division within our Sydney or Sunshine Coast office (2 positions/locations available). The role, which reports to the Business Operations Manager (Director), demands strong technical capabilities with a key focus on business development and management functions at an office level.
On a day-to-day level you will be required to carry out and manage an array of projects within the private development and public sectors. You will be required to lead and manage less experienced staff at the technical level, as well as develop ongoing business plans and monitor your divisional operations and performance.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, planning or science.
• Strong working knowledge of Sidra, and ideally some exposure to micro-simulation and/or strategic modelling software.
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
• Previous experience managing staff and project portfolios.
• Ability to promote and generate business and develop strong client relations.

The Role:
We seek talented staff with relevant traffic engineering or transport planning experience to become key members of our group. We have a number of positions available in our QLD and NSW offices, and seek candidates with a passion for transport and traffic consulting.
You will take part in large CBD network studies, parking and traffic management plans and major urban development projects. You will also be given the opportunity to manage and run your own project portfolios ranging from development planning and impact assessments to systems analysis, planning and design projects for both the private and public sectors.

The Position:
Traffic Signal Design Technician / Engineer.
The Location:
Brisbane or Gold Coast.
The Role:
Experienced Traffic Signal Designer, Technician or Engineer required to be based in either of our Brisbane or Gold Coast office locations.
You will be charged with coordinating and delivering a range of traffic signal designs for major public and private road schemes throughout QLD and NSW from inception through to authority approval. The role involves a high level of communication with clients and authorities, as well as liaising with various internal clients and team members within TTM.
The position may involve occasional travel, as well as the opportunity to grow and manage your own team within the Group.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience preparing traffic signal design plans, particularly covering signal hardware and cable connections.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering (electrical or civil) highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Sidra software.
- UTCS, ATS and ITS systems experience highly desirable (i.e. SCATS, SCATES STREAMS).
- Street lighting and/or traffic analysis experience highly desirable.
- Applicants must have good communication skills, both written and spoken.

You will be given the opportunity to manage your own projects and clients, and with the direction and support of management you will be involved in shaping a competitive business aimed at providing specialist services across the entire spectrum of acoustics and noise abatement control.
