Company Profile & History
The company was initially established in Melbourne during 1982 - founded by Glen Holdsworth, a qualified civil engineer now with almost 40 years of experience.
We grew rapidly throughout the 1980s to become one of Victoria's leading traffic engineering consultancies providing professional services to the public and private sectors.
The company then went on to establish a data collection division in 1987, where it began developing highly advanced traffic survey and data collection equipment technology. This encouraged the company to further expand into
supplying and maintaining traffic and parking equipment systems.
A Queensland office was then established in Brisbane in 1988.
An office was established in Sydney in 1997 simultaneously with a supplementary equipment office in Melbourne the same year.
In the mid 1990's the company adopted a unique business plan that positioned it firmly within the urban development sector, from which it continues to provide the majority of services.
Early into 2000 we introduced acoustic engineering as a new capability to meet the growing demand of environmental noise impact assessment requirements of development applications. Acoustic consulting services have since grown to contribute to a significant part of the company's revenue.
The turn of the century also presented the opportunity for TTM to establish offices in the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast to service the growing demand of regional centres in Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
In 2007 we were appointed as the official Distribution Agent for Aimsun within Australia and New Zealand. This alliance with Spanish based 'Transport Simulation Systems' (the developers of Aimsun) positioned us at the forefront of transport micro-simulation applications. This arrangement also expanded the company's capabilities to an integrated range of services for traffic modelling and simulation covering sales, technical support, consulting services and training.
The Group then went on to open a new office in Singapore at the start of 2010. Our Singapore office now services the entire South East Asian region with our comprehensive range of consulting and equipment services.
We are the largest specialist transport consulting firm servicing the Australasian region and amongst the top suppliers and maintainers of traffic and parking equipment.
